Well, for me my favorite asot had to be the first one I ever listened too, ASOT 135. I remembered taking advantage of my junior college's T3 line and downloaded the episode from ukta. Played it at school while working on a graphics project and was pretty amazed the whole time listening to it. I had just came back from my first massive and my appetite for trance had grown exponentially. I wanted to keep in touch with current releases and I figured asot would be a step in the right direction. First time hearing tracks like Kobbe and Austin Leeds-Fusing Love (Leeds and Schulz Remix), Envio-Time to Say Good-bye (Passiva Remix), and Solid Globe-Sahara, a track I still play to this day. Eventually I grew tired of both asot and gdjb and went my own way, but I still have to give thanks to asot for giving me my first taste of actual trance. My music tastes would never be the same again.

Aw man, looks like it wasn't quite as good as I remembered - well, the M.I.K.E. part was but that ATRC/Venus combo looks vile.

I remember that episode, bits of the conversation/interview were quite hilarious.

I recon the best one is the 2004 megamix. every single tune is just awsome, and its so well done. That was the year of trance for me!

Just for memories would be 56 as someone burnt it in two parts to CD and I was living with workers in Ibiza for a month, my day would consist of lying on San An Beach with my discman playing this and other early ASOTs. Heaven.
