well the only thing about cillian murphy is that he was looked at by the rest of the crew as being unbiased, logical and automatically indispensible (b/c he can operate the bomb). wow, talk about lame. is that all that is required to be a hero?
usually the protagonist of a solid movie has some drive within him to rise above the norm, or some emotional reason to prove his/her humanity. but cilian murphy was not given any real choices in the movie to make him stand out. did he make any decisions that the audience wouldn't have made? no.
but the spiritual element at the end of the movie completely ruined it for me. sure, they added it to provide extra suspense and conflict, but it felt like it was just added in the last second. horrid.
