Ok got a chance to check it out a few times before responding with a little review. Personally I found it to be a pretty damn good set overall. There are a few tracks that I really don’t care for and I prefer the first half over the second half but that is just me.

The mixing is very sold; the mix from “3temp3” into “Want to Do Sex” is honestly my personal favorite of the mix. The flow is very good and you managed to walk the fine line between progressive, house and what I like to call “reduced tech.” The rest of the mixes are very good and nothing really comes to mind as being not so much. My only problem is that there isn’t any eq work or real risk taking in the mixing.

I had never heard the Muvemba track before this set and it was my favorite track of the set. I actually just bought it off beatport and did an edit on it to take out the diva vocal during the breakdown and plan on playing it at my outside gig this weekend. Its not my normal style however it will work perfectly for a nice pool side party.

After the Down Edit (which is a monster of a track) the music goes in a direction that just isn’t my bag. By no means is that really a bad thing it’s just a matter of personal preference and music taste. I can respect it and it was done well, just not something I can really get down to.

I found myself really jamming to some of this and it was a nice change of pace to some of the crap I find myself listening to these days. It will defiantly get some more airtime. I would have to give it a 7.8 or of 10, I have liked a mix from you in the past better but this is right up there.

Thanks for the thoughts Mathias - I really appreciate the listen

And as far as the mixing goes, this one was really my first time mixing between CDJ's and Ableton, so I definitely played it a little conservative - but Ableton looping live into a track you're playing on CDJ's is a fucking pisston of fun.

Oh, and with regard to the second half - I guess I knew that would rub some people the wrong way, "Belgrade Underground" is a pretty simplistic house tune, and from there it definitely get's into the fluffy, floaty stuff - which is what I'm really digging playing right now, I just love hearing the trancey noises come back in tunes like "Traumlandschaft" and the remix of "1985."

Thanks again bro-ham!
