from my experience...when they want space that's usually the end of it... but a nice mature talk doesn't hurt and figure out what the status of your relationship is.

and if you've only seem her for a month and she needs space already, I'd say you need to move on buddy and stop thinking of her, Christ, she's not the only one out there; the more you think of her, the worst is gets until you snap out of this phase.
