I love French house, older Daft Punk, the Crydamoure stuff, Roule. have you seen Daft Punk live? Ian Pooley made pure Tech-House at least back in the day. Yes he used the "filter" but he was in no way "disco" like the Daft Punk (well he had some collaborations with some other artists which ended in more "Funky/Disco" house).
