I just spent the last 20 minutes writing my review here, and I got a network freezup and my browser messed up on me, losing everyting.
So in summary...

gonna miss both parties!
good luck tonight maher! kill it! |
Maher did a great warm up set... I head tracks I haven't heard before, some good vocal tracks which dominated the night. Wish I had a track list.
Great night for vocal tracks, a refreshing night similar to my nights with Sandra Collins.
Younger crown, and many people were not as social as the usual Montreal crown known for its hospitality.
My buddy isn't used to the unisex washrooms, I'm used to it.... but the the girl in blue jeans and black boots who sat in the cubicle next to me with her friend... a courtesy flush would be appreciated, as the fart you made probably turned you from a 10 to a 1 in as long a time as it took for you to deliver it.
Nice to hear Porter play our fello TA Deadmau5' harder better faster stronger. Deadmau5 will be performing at the Guvernment next week, so it's great to see this kid shoot up to world attention in so little time.
Graham's track of the night for me was Oxio - Domino... always a great track for me, especially when you are dancing right in between the speakers. It's not the same if you are not in the proper stereo spectrum.
So I was surprised at the small crowd too... Both Porter and Graham deserve much bigger crowds.
and great to meet Pascal! Nice to be greeted by a fellow TA in every city I visit for a party.

shit... just found it....
I just got back from Montreal. The above couple of reviews were right on the money.
However, I could NOT BELIEVE the small size crown to see some BIG names like Max and Steve. These guys pack clubs over here, and people have no issues paying 20 bucks to see them.
I got there at about 10:45 and was there till the 3am closing. Yeah the crowd was mostly young, and many were quite reserved, since the typical Montreal clubbers are very social. I normally have no issues sparking up a conversation with anyone there typically, even in Toronto which is commonly percieved as 'colder'. I did speak to part-time promoter who was there casually, and he said that Bacardi didn't market this even well. There were many from McGill, and some girls I had a smoke with outside came from Clubzone.
It was very refreshing hearing some vocal tracks, which I don't hear often over here. My night was very reminiscent of the Sandra Collins nights at the Guv. I love her.
Porter played our fellow TA Deadmau5's Harder Better Faster Stronger. As soon as I heard the first note, I LOST IT! And it was so great to see the crown go nuts shortly after jumping high to the beat in front of the booth. Deadmau5 will be performing at The Guvernment's Orange room next week, it's going to be a blast.
My buddy Jason doesn't go to Montreal much, so when he went into the washroom downstairs, he got confused. He's not used to the popular unisex washrooms in the city. It's all good normally IMO. However... to the girl who sat in the cubicle next to me in the blue jeans and black boots... A courtesy flush would be appreciated, since us guys are not accustomed to hearing a girl fart like that, it turns you from a 10 to a 1 in as long as time it took you to deliver it.
Great meeting you Pascal! Nice to have a fellow TA introduce himself. I always enjoy hooking up with local TAs in every city I visit. 'wish I met the rest of you!

Seriously, that shit pissed me off too. It's not like Bacardi doesn't have any other products; for fuck's sake, they should have had grey goose as the alternative for $10, would have made me way happier.
