I'm still craving more. Hope that the mix will find its place online sometime.

I thought he was solid, especially in the 2nd half. I do remember hearing Chemical Bros. - Do It Again too. I think he played it at about the half way point. I was also glad to hear Jondi and Spesh at the end. Who was the person tweaking the nobs at that time? Diggers disappeared for a bit and someone else was giving it a go!

Kev's set was solid too. It's been a long while since I've heard him spin.

at Avalon, with Liquified, OnePromotions and Saturday Night Sessions.

The Saturday nights are known as Avaland... I think they also do the same shit at Boston and NYC venues.

Personally, dont mind it... easssyyyyy work, less stress but the crowd does suck a little at times.

The more unique the night (ie, Superfreq) the better the crowd. Anytime theres a headliner though. Usually less people and the washers are else where (not completely gone but less).

wow.

I wasn't at home the rest of the weekend, so this is the first chance I had to type it up.

I really wish I could have stayed until the end; I have always closed out a night with Diggers, but I couldn't get out of this one...my parents scheduled breakfast with them at 8am in Pasadena... but I'm getting ahead of myself.

So, my choices were either go see my parents, and miss Digweed, or go see Digweed, and be miserable on Sunday. It's obvious what choice I made, and I hope you would have made the same one.

Got there around 10:30, and walked right in with my hard ticket (once I found the right line, I haven't been to Avalon in ages) and I hit this wall of heat. It was so freakin' hot inside, and there was nobody there yet.

I went outside to the smokers, and hung out there for an hour just trying to stay cool and focused, and it helped a tiny bit.
I went upstairs and found the air conditioning and stood up in front of it and the balcony for sometime and that helped immensely.

Came back down around midnight, and ran into Thrax in the front and took some pictures and chatted for a bit. Danced a bit to Kazell to loosen up and just kind of walked around. Ran into Clovis while coming out of the bathroom and was going to meet up with him on the floor a bit later.

I mostly forgot what happened until a little after one, and hit the floor, and found Clovis and gang and danced up a storm for the next five+ hours. yum. Everyone is very cool and down to earth; why can't we all be that way?
I told Clovis early in the night, he'd make my night if he couldn't trainspot any track, but per his post earlier, he spotted give-or-take 10... I guess that's too bad

So many people there were not-so-friendly. It was a bit disconcerting to me at the beginning (if accidently touch someone, I'm always gushing out apologies to them); I had to tell myself not to take it personally. The washers don't bother me much; I either hit them back or avoid their spinning cycles as much as possible. For me, I could never relate to someone that has no consideration for other people in close area trying to all have a great time together (with enhancements)...maybe it's the enhancements that make them do that? {shrug} Oh, I thought Avalon bans lights/sticks? I would assume the guards would take them from people on the floor, but I saw alot of them around. Seems so out-of-place.

So my tune of the night was dropped at 3:58a (I checked the time at that moment ; Diggers completely blew me up. I have no clue what song it was, and I'll probably never know, but it was heavenly for those 12 or so minutes.

And, every couple of minutes, Thrax was in the front, snap, snap, snap, taking his pics; you're such a hard worker!

I was still up past 5, but my legs turned into jelly, and I just lost all strength to continue dancing. Every time Diggers dropped another tune, we were all like, hands in the air, hands in the air, hands in the air, no dancing possible

Some left at 530ish (Bas?), and I had to leave around 6 so I could meet my parents at 8.
Driving home with the top down on my car with the sun rising and some more Diggers on the radio was quite nice as well, but I would have rather have stayed until the end.

It's hard to rate his sets, they're either superb, or amazing. I would never trade one in for the world. I missed the set in March (with MSTRKRFT), but I enjoyed this set better than the GV set on NYE. But, again, I would never trade it in!

I got home, showered, changed, got a huge expresso from Coffee Bean, and jumped on the road.

I think my parents were a bit on to me during breakfast, as I avoided most everything except some bread and I had my sunglasses on the entire time When they ask me what I do when I go out, I just mutter "Oh, we went to a bar"; hah! If only they knew

The rest of the day was pretty boring; I escaped my parents around noon, I hit up a beach party in Santa Monica in the afternoon (so freakin hot and no parking); met up with some other friends for dinner in town and stayed up with them at their hotel drinking and partaking all night until some time in the morning.

I crashed in my hotel room for the night, we got up around 3pm, all went to C&O for those yummy garlic knots and average pasta, and then drove them to LAX. I went to the market on the way home, unpacked, put the stuff away, and crashed on the couch after some more partaking as I had to be at work at 8am today.

Underworld on Sunday!

I'm sad that I'm missing them in NY (going the week later), but I need to see who's playing in NY from 9/21 - 9/24. Anyone know?
