I used to take notes like a pro, I wrote everything down the professor said (kept me awake and I soaked up info better that way). Before exams I would go back and type all my notes and type up notes on all the reading material. As for papers I prepped by doing background research etc / read my ridiculous notes but primarily wrote one draft 12 hours before it was due...I don't believe in multiple drafts. Sleep deprivation before anything big was due. Never really studied for my Russian language tests though and consequently I don't know it as well as I should.

As for grad school I just finished in June and it wasn't hard...the hardest time I've ever had in school was high school and that was because I went to a ridiculous college prep school.

To his defense, Trump didn't even really look like a bum.

Thesis or non-thesis option?

I had a final group project which was hell mostly because of my group. I have a MS in sports business so the emphasis was on working in the industry and during my advanced "blah" course I interned for a hockey team for 40 - 60 hours a week...grad school still easier

Boomers told me grad school would be easier than undergrad.

He lied.

I still can't believe you are doing your masters at 21.

I started when I was 17 and finished two terms (quarters) early. And I didn't get to take breaks like a lot of my classmates. I always studied and worked since I started.

I'm not that crazy. MS (more than likely multiple) will be enough.

Welp, I commend the scholars here. I certainly couldn't do it. Well no, I could, but I don't want to. Too lazy.

The way I see it is that with a Bachelors you open up many doors. With A masters, you narrow down those doors. With a PhD you are really into something you have a love and a passion for and have choices narrowed even more.

I have a BS in meterology, MS in a year or so (since I work full time and can only do school 2/3 of the time) that will be in GIScience. I am really picking up a knack for IT related duties/knowledge... so I may go for a degree in MIS as well.

Who knows... I may get bored and move on after I get it.
