Not really, just someone took a bit of sarcasm literally so I ran with it. Then I felt bad and decided to clear it up (didn't want to leave him thinking the wrong things).
The explanations are right though, and wouldn't be beyond any 13 year old here. But like I said in a way you could term the electrons as going 'faster' but it's not the proper term.

you said electrons are at a higher voltage. That doesn't make any sense now, does it ? Electrons have negative charge. Charge creates electric potential, and difference in electric potential is termed as voltage.

I said electrons a field. It's like saying water is at high pressure. If I said an electron was at higher voltage then it wouldn't make sense, because it wouldn't be at higher potential relative to anything else.
