Almost everyone I've talked to about this swears they'll leave after Hybrid. I think it would be quite funny to witness the venue empty to half capacity when Oakenfold comes on.

Likely not happening... but it WOULD be funny. That's what I would do, since it's a freakin' MONDAY!!!

What does everyone have against Oakenfold? I've enjoyed some of his work. Anyways, from all the good words, I am looking forward to Hybrid. I have to admit I haven't heard much about them before. What's a good song by them?

He kinda went from "Perfecto Fluoro? Tranceport? Sweet!!!" to "Bunkka?!? Pop remixes?!? WTF?" in 2002. I haven't been following Oakie's livesets so I don't know when his mixing turned to shit, but he basically is a pop remixer/DJ now (which is not totally bad, but not up to TA standards).

Hybrid, on the other hand, are a group that I am looking forward to seeing. They do more progressive, trance-ish Breaks. I always liked the Hybrid mix of Filter "Take My Picture"

So is someone bringing a camera for the official TA walk-out(tm) @ 1? I think it'd make for a funny YouTube vid...

Well, I guess I will admit that Oakenfold may or may not be really good. I checked out his greatest hits and remixes and there was a lot of junk on there, but he has a few good songs. I heard one of his Perfecto on tour mixes and was fairly impressed. He does seem to be a dj who has a mix of good and bad stuff. I don't expect him to be the best dj who's come to town this year, but I hope he'll be good.
