I agree with Josh's conclusion if not his way of articulating it.

Sometimes an article can stand for itself; simply summarizing it is hardly "giving a thesis" or whatever that means. If I post an article, I'm looking to generate a reaction to the article based on others' interpretations of it, not a reaction to my own personal interpretation of it.

Not gonna lie, amidst all the fluff he posted in here, he does have a point. This forum is extraordinarily anti-establishment and radicalized, with the promotion of fringe conspiracy theories and outside-the-mainstream political ideologies. And though this is an international forum, US-based discussions are the only ones generating any responses, and those truly international issues that do get posted always reverts to some neo-con/communist bashfest. PDD could be a lot better than it is if people were more open to other opinions (including the opinions of LatinLover, however disagreeable you may find them).
