blah blah blah, a mile long introduction trying to sound smart before he gets to any kind of claim, followed by a bunch of unfunny similes (see: ...Electronic music had exploded all over the mainstream like Peter North poolside with three eager girls.) learn to write.

here, read this people.

This sounds like it was written by one of those automatic complaint generators. There is no coherent point to it whatsoever.

i find it pretty coherent kent. granted, you broke your artictle heavily and his was just in a column form. But the point is, he did what you did 5 years before, difference being, yours was to show why and how bt is boring where as cusick's column was about why bt is pointlessly shit.

now, i don't rate either piece above it, i like bt's stuff, and i still consider IMA pretty groundbreaking in terms of levels of production in trance at the time, just compare the levels on pvd's 45 rpm album and IMA and you find a remarkable difference. ye

You must not have read the whole thing. It's brilliant. He even manages to tie in Bush.

Same here... BT is very creative, but I think he fails when it comes to live sets. He's not into the music, and it's like canned garbage.

I couldn't read everything either but his negativity and bitch complaining just got boring. Good points made though Emotional Technology was a piece of crap indeed.

As opposed to your amazingly concise and well structured rants?

He's not trying to prove a point, something you obviously missed...
