they should make categories to end all wars!!! it's just so hard to compare a house dj, a trance dj, a psytrance dj... sigh... this is never ending... djs are just too different, hard to compare one another, some appeal to me and some don't... but that doesnt mean that the rest that i dont like are chumps... they play different music... abortion debate will probably end before we all agree who's the number 1 dj should be...

Clovis I totally agree with you and can't understand why anyone takes such poll seriously but what blows me away is why are all the DJ's endorsing such crap. Prior to the results everyone of them had the DJmag vote logo on their site.

On a side note: I was passing through Virgin megastore the other day and couldn't help noticing Tiesto's new ISOS 6 cd had a sticker on it that read "#1 DJ In The World" Huh? LOL I guess everyone is number 1 in their head.

Because a higher placing in the poll leads to more money and higher exposure. If you're a producer then maybe your songs get heard by a wider audience. Who wouldn't want that? Even if you don't give a damn about the ranking or the money, getting your music hear by as many people as possible has got to be powerful incentive. I can't say I blame them.
