It doesn't make sense, how? Is that the fullest you're able to elaborate? Are you even able to view something from that perspective? Maybe I'm just assuming based on your posts here but you don't come off as the type to question your perceived reality.

Anyway, you obviously missed my post regarding the Georgia Guidestones.

No, because he's still there spewing his antagonistic drivel even though I'm not even responding to him. People need to understand the reason why he's on ignore and that's because he's a troll.

Maybe the next time you don't think that something makes sense you'll take a moment to do some research before you start typing.

I mean, you do realize that the death toll is lower because of lawyer jargon straight from the pentagon, right? Do you actually believe only 25 people died in Iraq this whole month?

They probably don't count people who die in hospitals, or during transfer, on military bases, etc etc. They also probably use the key words "died in Iraq" to the utmost literal sense. I wonder if they even count friendly fire, or troops who aren't killed immediately on the spot.

If they killed off the population, who would they exploit to remain in power?

Few presidents have shown such disrespect for the wishes of the voters he's supposed to serve. I am simply amazed that it could get that bad. Sometimes I find it hard to believe we really voted W in TWO times..

I can't remember where I read the statistic of how many, but I know that US soldiers who are med-evac'ed out of Iraq and die in transit or at Rammstein in Germany are not counted in the official death toll. Saw it awhile ago, so don't know how that number has been affected by the recent data.

But yeah, I wouldn't read too much into it. Just look at today's outcry at the State Department over mandatory postings in Iraq for a glimpse at how dangerous the situation remains there.

http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/10/31/st...iraq/index.html

The Foreign Service is severely depleted of qualified diplomats as is, and I imagine that this will only add to that problem at a time when diplomats are most needed. It's a shame really, the legacy that this administration is going to leave on the very instruments of US policy.

Thought this was relevant:

http://warcomeshome.org/content/lea...mmitted-suicide

quote:
It’s time to change of count of American war dead upward.

The Associated Press has got hold of a preliminary government study on suicides by Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans. According to the VA, at least 283 combat veterans who left the military between the start of the war in Afghanistan on October 7, 2001 and the end of 2005 took their own lives. In addition, 147 troops have killed themselves in Iraq and Afghanistan since the wars began bringing the government count to 430.

The VA’s count is not a complete one, however. It does not include members of the military who returned from Iraq and then killed themselves before being discharged from the service – people like Sgt Brian Rand who shot himself in the head after returning home from his second tour.

It also doesn’t include the deaths of people like Sgt. James Dean who was shot by Maryland state troopers after he barricaded himself in his father’s farmhouse. Observers call those deaths “suicide by cop.”

And it doesn’t include the deaths of people like Sgt. Gerald Cassidy, a 32 year old Indiana National Guardsman, who died at Fort Knox five months after returning from Iraq with brain damage from a roadside bomb.

How many more American deaths continue to go uncounted?

Regardless, it’s clear is that we need to change our count of casualties upward from 4,229 US military deaths (3,842 in Iraq and 387 in Afghanistan) to closer to 5,000 – possibly more when you consider those deaths that still haven’t been counted.

Remember, US civilian deaths are not included in these numbers. Last I heard, they were at nearly 1000 civilian contractors killed in Iraq and Afghanistan...the people working on rebuilding the infrastructure, roads, oil fields, etc. Once you include them, we are easily above 5,000 dead.

And during a time when these guys need our help the most, my government further cuts spending on their healthcare.

It's bad enough to begin with that they had to go to a war which was based on lies but it really makes me sad to see how these men are being treated once they get back home.
