not sure if this has been posted but not every single club does pat downs. This club apparently didn't do pat downs, according to the forum post.. I think that's the bigger issue here. I'm repeating my initial post

But if your from Ottawa your used to it...my god it's 2007 and with all the clubs and after hours action we still don't have any pat downs or anything.

Heaven is the one that comes close with searching a little but most people walk through... you get used to it.

OMG!! HORRIBLE! wat is going on nowadays..really traumatized! RIP for these 4 people and hope that one day we ll find something better than violence!

Van is fairly corrupt like Montreal so those security features are a pretty big undertaking. What you're seeing now are more stabbings in the bars and gunshots outside the establishments instead. Still safer than getting hit with a random bullet inside..

had that happen once in Van. Everyone ducked and we didn't go back to that same club for a long, long time. The cops cordoned off the block real fast but it was traumatic for sure.
