If he's not a soldier, then he doesn't have a "duty". I fail to see why should he enlist to be a soldier at this particular time. Even if he wants to be a soldier (I don't know if he does or not), enlisting himself at the time a war he strongly disagrees with is going on, must be a really logic thing to do. It makes lots of sense to go kill people you think that shouldn't be killed, just because Bush thinks it's for the country, man.

Yes, attempting to stir the pot by calling someone a terrorist and anti-American because they are demonstrating that your SURGE! dream reductions in violence may be attributed to other factors is really civilized.

And mature.

I have told multiple times to Opus that I wont and dont have to prove him anything. Because after all Im right ( in my opinion) and he is fatally flawed.

Cows are purple on Mars. Because after all Im right ( in my opinion) and anyone is who disagrees with me, evidence be damned, is fatally flawed.

It's almost borderline senility seeing these arguments, Arnold. You really should try and support your arguments every once in a while. If anything, it might actually give you an ounce of credibility to everyone else's eyes.

quote:
He hasnt demonstrated that he deserves the honor to engage in a constructive debate with me.

You have very little understanding what a words like "honor" and "constructive" mean, Arnold, given your continual attempts of slandering me and deliberate derailing of this thread. I've been here since when you just became a teenager, and so far I've been here long enough to see you recently banned multiple times within a time span of less than a year. The irony of such statements by you cannot be overstated.

quote:
I agree with you Lira the best he can do is ignore me because after all I think he has an obsession with me or something that he keeps on going after me.

I believe it was you, Arnold, that decided to reply to my thread, was it not? I have never put anyone on my ignore list, nor do I have any reason to do so now. Our conversations have done more to expose your silliness than I ever could have done alone, and I have no intention of stopping at this point. And again, this will all be done without personal attacks on my end.

Let's see if you can hold up to your side of the bargain. If I'm a bettin' man, given your history of banning and slanderous remarks I'd say the odds are not in your favor.

quote:
Now Opus,
You come out and say that you wont join the Arm forces because you dont agree with the war Okay the duty of a soldier is to serve his country whenever called upon and surely our troops dont have the luxury in picking which war they prefer to fight Opus that is a lousy excuse to give to anyone here.

You really are an interesting little critter, Arnold. I believe you are once again trying to derail the topic of this thread. It's a very close line you are attempting to tread by personally attacking the thread starter rather than the argument he posed. Regardless, let's see if I can help you understand a bit better:

1. I do not support this war. I am not a soldier, nor is it any duty of a U.S. citizen to become one unless a draft is implemented. If a draft were to occur and my number was called up I would abide by those laws just as my father, my father-in-law, and my grandfathers before me, regardless of my sentiments against the war cause. But no draft is being implemented at this time.

2. Those in the military had voluntarily signed up with full knowledge that they may very well go to war at any time should the military call them up to do so.

3. I am not in the military because I have no desire to support the cause of this war created by this Administration, especially now since it would almost be inevitable where they would send those who enlisted.

Understand yet?

quote:
Either 1. you are afraid( which im truly starting to question your manhood)

I think that constitutes an ad hominem attack that Lira was discussing, does it not?

Manhood has nothing to do with common sense, Arnold. What part of my three points above do you not understand?

quote:
or 2. you dont want to go to battle with the people you are rooting for.

Again, I think it's obvious that equating me to a terrorist would constitute an ad hominem attack, especially when you have given no supporting evidence to bolster your slander.

This point is so asinine it really astounds me.

quote:
But please dont come up with the lousy excuse that you dont join the arm forces because you disagree with the war

Then you tell me what part of my three points you disagree with and why. Why would I enlist to do something I do not support? What on earth?

Now I have a question for you, Arnold. Reread your argument you just tried to pose to me (I'm being kind to the word "argument"), and please tell me of all the hypocritical things to ask of someone - why are YOU not enlisting yourself, ESPECIALLY since this is a war and a cause YOU support?

And finally, do you have any supporting evidence to counter my arguments made in my original post, or will you continue to try to derail this thread? I would sure like to stick to the topic at hand regarding the SURGE! Do you have anything worthwhile to say about that said topic?

Well how 'bout that? That darn librul America, all 68% of them composed entirely of the "far left" seem to be pretty firm against this war despite all that wonderful news of the SURGE! supposedly working:

quote:
Support for the war in Iraq has dropped to 31 percent and the 68 percent who oppose the war is a new record.

Despite the drop in violence in Iraq, only one quarter of Americans believes the U.S. is winning the war. There has been virtually no change in the past month in the number of Americans who believe that things are going badly for the U.S. in the war in Iraq.

The public also opposes U.S. military action against Iran. Sixty-three percent oppose air strikes on Iran, while 73 percent oppose using ground troops as well as air strikes in that country.

Overall, 56 percent, of Americans are dissatisfied with progress in the war on terrorism.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.co...l-ticker-am-90/

Why does America hate America?

Why are there so many darn terrorist sympathizers in this country? I didn't realize that there were over 2/3 of American terrorist lovers right now, and those numbers continue to GROW!

Unbelievable.

We really should be making some calls to the Dept. of Homeland Security ASAP. I mean really, for every 3 people out on the streets, 2 of those people are anti-American and side with the terrorists! Who are these neighbors of mine? Every two out of three of my neighbors are terrorist-enablers? Incredible. I can't believe it.

Opus is too old for the Armed forces, you moron.

Not stupid enough to take something from "pentagontv.feedroom.com" on face value apparently.

Clearly your ignorance prevents you from looking at the facts. Information that comes out of DOD is what all analyst and strategist look at to analyze a current situation or an event. Sure, lets all take what CNN and NYT puts out to know the "real" story especially in times of war

I don't even listen to Alex Jones, but thanks for the input and stereotype. You on the other hand do love NeoCon/Zionist cock... so have fun with that since it's your thing.
