a lot of the current hip hop/r'n'b stuff is edm based.....britney - gimme more, nearly all of timbaland's stuff, justin timberlake's stuff etc.
try some 'just jack'...he is an english rapper who bases a lot of his stuff over funky house grooves, like 'starz in their eyes', 'no time(radio edit)' etc. there are some great house remixes of his stuff....starz in thier eyes(trophy twins rmx), writers block(seamus haji rmx), no time(wideboys rmx) and a few more. also try some of 'the streets'...the track 'blinded by the lights'. try 'weak become heroes(ashley beedle remix)'
i agree with a lot of people here that you shouldnt try and play too much edm, cos the crowd simply wont have any interest. if you do wanna play edm, your best bet is to just stick to quality house remixes of well know hip hop/r'n'b....many of the big names in house do remixes of this stuff, so you will have plenty to pick from. axwell has done loads of remixes of r'n'b stuff, so maybe try some of his (his remix of nelly furtado - promiscuous girl is quality). one thing i would say, is that if you are choosing edm tracks to throw in, make sure that you either set the cue point a bit into the song, mix using the radio versions of the tunes or else make sure that the rapping/singing/distinctive tune comes in early because a hip hop corwd will not want to hear 2 minutes of purely beats per song, like edm fans would.
by the way, that ayo technology remix that was posted sounds a lot like 'second sun - playground'
