and yes, it has taken me forever to cut the ambillical cord. my mom swears the doctor at the time said there was nothing wrong with letting me breast feed as long as i wanted to. it promotes "bonding" and all that crap. i think it promoted a little too much bonding and now i want to strangle her half the time.

I think a couple of years is more than enough. It all depends, however, on Van Liren's mammarial development stages:

• Men: Men should cut the umbillical cord in, at most, a couple of years after birth. After that, he must go through a hiatus to realise the awesomeness of being a mammal, and connect in some other way, after about a couple of decades, with his newly grown pelvical cord and the mammarial hotness of some other sample of the human species.
