when you have quadro groups and stereo groups you must select the output as stereo or quadro when i select stereo the quadro groups dont get mixed down.

im using an audiophile 2496. i dont know id if that has anything to do with it but i definately doesnt work on my side.

I use SX 3 and use the VST Compadre Beatpuncher to sidechain in stereo or mono its a great VST. Anyways, I too have the same problem the original poster has. A muted kick will not signal the sidechain when I use Beatpuncher. Anyone use Beatpuncher and know how to do the ghost kick?

I still think it's too much hassle to setup quadro-groups. The same can be achieved with a couple of clicks with the plugins I mentioned earlier in my post (which everyone conveniently missed).

So I still stick what I said before, have the trigger kick as an muted audio-channel (and have your other drums in battery). Because the mute-button is the one of the last things in the signal chain, the trigger function isn't effected by it. Since I do this myself all the time, I can assure you that if works flawlessly.

done that but didnt work! can u break it down....

i opened a stereo audio track..done it in both stereo and quadro to see which worked..routed it to group sidechain and muted the chanel..the effect doesnt work at all when muted but works fine unmuted!

Effect? It's all just standard sidechaining.
They'll give approximately the same result when using the same sources. They're just easier to setup as said earlier. It's all just between the ears.
