| quote: | | Why are people so shy in Montreal? In Toronto when I started to go to raves I learned that the main reason for going is to meet new people. Raves are supposed to be a social event. All the time in Montreal no matter if it's an after hours or event, people look at you weird for talking to them and being freindly. In TO it's common for people to at least look at each other and smile while your dancing. |
Simple: In Montreal, the main reason to go out is to party, dance, enjoy the music, not meet new people. It annoys me when i'm grooving on the dancefloor and someone keeps trying to engage in a conversation when it's clear that right now, it's just not the moment. I'll always meet new people when I chill on the sides, in the stands, etc
Like the DJ's, maybe should learn to read the crowd?
People are really friendly and easy going in Montreal, just pick the right moment to initiate a conversation!
BTW, I can't see how meeting new people should be the MAIN reason for going to raves/after hours??? MUSIC is the main reason. Like DJ XL says: Shut up and dance!!!
P.L.U.R! hehehehe!
