Yeah but, this would be so "obvious", I wonder whether there isn't any other explanation...
But, what do I know, I'm not there with them...

I see your point.
It could also be that she's trying to get busted so that she doesn't feel the burden / guilt of being the one who initiates the break-up.

The fact that your solution is to install a keylogger shows a total lack of communication and trust. If you really can't have an open, honest discussion about your feelings and thoughts then is the relationship really worth it?

(I was gonna go the "tits or gtfo" route, but yours is much classier.)

Communication is a bunch of B.S. too. Girls can manipulate their words and guys can fall for it.
Solution: Just install the keylogger and find out for yourself.. If she's talking about PMS to her friends then breathe that sigh of relief and go on and start fixing your problems to save the relationship.
If the slore is cheating on u.. Kick her to the curb and say BYE BYE without giving her any explanation.

Thats fine, but if it's truly the case then why does the relationship matter anyways? I mean, if you don't have an open and honest dialogue, then she's basically just an aquaintance that you fuck and share a room with... in which case it doesnt matter who she fucks.
If you're not ready to talk like human beings then you're not ready for a relationship. What will the keylogger prove? Either that you're an overly sensitive and invasive prick that can't express his feelings, or that she's a secretive, lying whore... either way is fail.
Trust is a tricky thing.

So is being with someone for 4 years.
There's alot of possibilities but constantly bringing up if she's cheating - might drive her away.
She might not want to leave because of the comfort you have being with someone for 4 years - even though deep down there is nothing to their relationship.
I don't see a problem in him wanting to find out for himself if his girl is truly faithful. Might restore some trust issues in their relationship.

How will spying on her restore trust? That just proves that he has none.
And from what he said he's not constantly bringing it up... he's NEVER brought it up; so I think that expressing a genuine concern to someone you share your life with is not out of the bounds of decency.
Although I do acknowledge the fact that if she wants to lie, there's nothing he can say or do to get her to fess up until he catches the act... and thats the sad truth.
