Here's a direct link to Random's latest LP. There are several minute samples for each track! http://saikosounds.com/english/disp...ase.asp?id=5568

and here's a link to all his misc. singles and collaborations.

Thumbs up

Anyone else here attend this?

I can't say I consumed any tea or healthy munchies, instead preferring unhealthy alcohol and caffeine in excess. Incredible experience, though! It was my first psytrance event, and in many ways it shattered my expectations. Chiefly it evoked a ravers-meet-hippies vibe, yet the scene was extremely diverse, chill, and fairly welcoming to anyone who enjoys psytrance.

As for myself, my opinions of psytrance were generally mixed, but I learned from this show that one really needs a good sound system to fully appreciate the intensity and bass of psytrance. If you get another opportunity, I'd strongly recommend a show featuring Moksa, Random, or Wichdokta. Their sets were fun; I had initially planned to head out to another venue that night, but their music selection kept me glued and made a long event feel surprisingly short.

The DJs' energetic performances beyond the music were memorable as well, helping to fuel the fervor of the dance floor. The Wichdokta especially was violently flailing behind the wheels of steel, and I doubt I saw him stop moving once throughout the duration of his two sets. Here's an incoherent cameraphone video that doesn't do it justice:

It'd be nice to see more trance DJs achieving that level of enthusiasm. Unfortunately, my own flailing only lasted from 10:30pm to 4:30am. I left around 5:00am, right as Infinitesimal started spinning, so I'm unable to comment on the rest. I also avoided the chillout room.

Wild venue. Vaguely creepy. I can't complain, because the night only cost me about $45 total (cover plus redbull plus BYOB) instead of three times that amount, since my alcohol was cheap and I didn't need a cab, as MARTA was running by the time I left.

I spent $0 for one of my favorite nights at Wetbar

Sounds good though. That about sums up my first experience at Spring4th as well.
