How far can it be? The country is like 200 miles from one end to the next right? Hell I've driven 1000 miles each way to Florida and back in a weekend before.

You should be able to drive to one end of the country and back in that time. Or are there no highways running to the resort area?

yeah, it's the infrastructure (or lack thereof) of the island. Poor roads, meandering along make conditions much slower than the conditions most of us are used to. Even in europe some spanish islands are such that they have 1 or 2 main roads and no coastal roads between resorts 3-5km apart, it takes a long drive to get from a to b that way. A boat on the otherhand

well, basically theres a two hours drive from santiago (where i live) to santo domingo (the capital) and from there to punta cana is a 3 to 5 hours drive.

well, the road infrastructure between the main cities isnt that bad, but it does gets tricky in some places.

Yeah, I guess I take for granted that I live 4 miles from an interstate that allows 70+mph travel to pretty much wherever I want to go (unless it's rush hour lol then I'm going 10mph)

Mountains and no highways = long time to travel

I went when i was in high school and just relaxed all day by the beach and drank all night. My youngest brother (who was like 10) loved the beach cuz it was topless. We did sum fun stuff like horseback riding on the beach and parasailing. Just find other people your age to hang out with there and it'll be fun.

My flight leaves tomorrow!

I am sick as shit with some sort of flu, and it blows massive chunks cause I feel garbage. I was given a bunch of antibiotics today though, so hopefully those will kick in ASAP.

One thing I hate about traveling is my paranoia that I am forgetting something. I think I have everything I need though. I hope.
