bah, mixing uppers and downers is cool as long as you follow two simple rules:

1. don't IV your drugs
2. limit your dosages to amounts that you know you can handle

I have to agree with you, although benzos are great for putting yourself out when you really have to sleep it is not something you want to do all the time because of the rebound insomnia. I really never enjoyed taking benzos by themselves recreationally either, only in combination with some kind of upper or psychedelic. But if you are looking for a way do get the drunk feeling for cheap at a club benzos + a small amount of alcohol will give it to you. The only problem is when you are trashed you could easily talk yourself into having a few more drinks or pills and end up in trouble.

i got a nice Colibri flask on ebay for like $20 or something last year...

besides, being that trashed for your favorite DJ is no fun at all...i like to fully REMEMBER everything i'm doing/seeing/feeling/hearing.
