Anybody actually get into this party?
I had presale tickets. Got to the Gaansevoort shortly after 10. (Fairly early I am thinking). Couldn't get in. Nobody at the door believed that my tickets were real. Security at the event took a photo copy of my ticket receipt. The only people that they were letting in were people that had tables. They were going for $5,000 each! I don't think that I have seen that much plastic surgery in one place before. I was certainly not happy but fortunately (or not) my brother convinced me to leave before I had a chance to make much of a scene.
At this point we weren't sure where to go. My brother remembered that Infected Mushroom was playing at Chakra but neither of us knew where it was. Found a garbage can full of flyers and after a little digging found the flyer, got the address and went.
At the party, no lines, no waiting, no nose jobs, no bullshit, just music. Infected played a good set. I had a better time there then I think I could have seeing Oakenfold anyway.
Not sure what happened with the tickets or why they thought they were fake. I was going to ask at the wanttickets store today but they had enough trouble just handing out tickets. I guess I will send out an email or something later.
