Snowsquall warning for
Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale issued
Snow squalls developing Friday morning to Friday evening.
This is a warning that snowsqualls are imminent or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.
A cold front will sweep across southern Ontario Friday morning and in its wake usher in cold Arctic air behind it. As brisk northwesterly winds forces the cold air to flow over Lake Huron and Georgian Bay snow squalls will form late Friday morning into Friday evening. At this time indications show that these bands of snow squalls off of northern Lake Huron will oscillate north of Goderich to Port Elgin. Snow squalls which will form off of Georgian Bay will mainly affect the Barrie and Orillia regions.
Local snowfall amounts of 15 centimetres of snow is possible from these snow squalls by the time they diminish Friday evening. Motorists are advised to exercise caution when driving as these squalls can reduce visibility to near zero at times.
^^ Very nice! Collingwood is getting more snow! Excited!
Its coming down lightly now -- sky is white w/ falling snow.
