So like I said depending on if your an NCM or Officer and your rank, you probably make at least $50,000 a year but most likely more. And depending on if you live at CFB Kingston your cost of living is probably very low as well, but even if you weren't cost of living in Kingston isn't that bad. Its only $30 which is cheaper than most nights at Stereo. Most of us on here who post about Stereo have put out probably hundreds and hundreds of dollars clubbing there just this year alone, and have never really complained for the most part. I know I sure as hell have.

going to an afterhours during the week is more than retarded but put Digweed in any club on a week day and it's going to be sold out, especially on a wednesday which imo is one of the best day to go out hehe

so everything i say has no credit cuz stereo's an afterhours? hmmmm ok.

put that aside for one second and think: afterhours or not, my point is that there really are not alot of people who would go out on a night other than fri/sat. most of the ppl into this scene are students/working. this means that in general, people have class/work to go to.

me, as an example, i don't work thursday nights just in case someone huge is booked at tribe (can u smell the dedication, lol ) but most normal people see thursday nights as any other weeknight and avoid going out to party just for that reason: it's a motherfkn weeknight!!!

another example: tribe works well on thursdays cuz they established a name for themselves by bringing sooooooooo many internationals in a relatively short span. they got people's attention. they had the right formula. and they still have it going on...they haven't fizzled out. they must be doing something right.

im not trying to compare at all as the concepts are completely different. but maybe not so different when u think about it: tribe thursdays are underground music, tribe fridays/saturdays are pure fromage grille and the place is still rocking!

ok ok ok enough of this rant, im sorry. bottom line for me: with a concept such as la mouche's (who thought of that name btw!?) meaning fri/sat=commercial and every other night almost anything can go, then, there better be some damn good motivation (as in heavy bookings, from my perspective...maybe open bar for other people lol) for me to attend your club. bring lawler on a monday night. ill call in sick to work and not go to class the next day. why? cuz it would be worth it! the motivation's there.

again, i'm sorry for the rant!!! i guess i'm anxiously awaiting some names to be dropped and see what kind of motivation you have to offer/how you are going to establish yourselves for people like me to actually go out on a weeknight...as fri/sat fromage just does not cut it for me, and i think still, for many out there.

and one thing, since when is marco g a commercial DJ???????? wtf

Commercial or not ?

I obviously won't be there cuz I don't live in the city, but when I am there next I will definitely be checking out the club I once used to call my home away from home.

It IS fun to go out, have beers, hang out with friends & party...absolutely! But partying entails some kind of sound going on, like, MUSIC!

But NOT listen to the music? What am I partying to then? Why am I going out in the first place?

Going out takes time, energy and most importantly (for me), money! So, unless the music will cater to my tastes, I won't go. Experiencing good music is THE reason why I go out. Nothing else. No good music = I won't bother.

If I'm NOT listening to music (commercial or not), then I'd much prefer to stay home, still hang out & party with friends, drink for MUCH cheaper than any club would ever be able to offer ANNNND get to listen to some quality music off my monitors from my music library...All of that means minimal money spent, less energy required and no time wasted.

So, yes, MUSIC is the whole reason why I give such a huge shit! lol...I don't get up off my ass for much, especially not commercial music bookings.

I guess I'm part of an ever-declining crowd who actually cares about quality EDM. It's ok, I accept it. But, I guess, now you know where I'm coming from.

Still excited to check out the place

Gotta agree with this post 100%.

I dont see what a new typical club will add to the vibe of montreal. Ill have to see for myself though before I judge.
