Mainstream names of a mainstream genre (trance), and yet no Toronto performances.

Obviously Toronto has had *some* variety, like I said earlier. Toronto though has not had "immense variety" that you mentioned.

Morph and S&T are hardly 'big names'... sure they are known, to not even close to the caliber of pvd, tiesto, armin, svd, schulz and other djs that frequent toronto. I can see morph being booked, but not as the headliner. Not at GUV atleast.

Not big names? Typical for Toronto I guess. Everywhere else in the world, they ARE big names. Morph has been everywhere from Japan, to New York and LA. In the international trance scene, Morph and S&T are definitely mainstream and "big names". Obviously not as big as the BIGGEST names you just mentioned, but definitely mainstream in the scene.

Just because they're not in the Mixmag top 5 or they're not known in Toronto doesn't mean they're not big.

I enjoyed his shows back when I was 19 when I was new to everything and simply appreciated being in that environment....but looking back now I really dont understand....if you're going to be a dj....even a mediocre one...shouldn't beat matching be one of the first essential skills you aquire??
how do guys like Oakenfold make it when they can't even mix properly.....now that I've seen so many other djs who actually have talent....I wouldn't think twice about paying to see Jokenfold again...

He can mix if he tries. I don't think you can lose your ability to mix, no matter how much coke you do.

this statement is questionable......if you can lose the ability to use fine motor skills, you can lost the ability to mix...anything can happen if enough blow is factored into the equation.....not that I know for experience or anything...
