I have seen him live three times and have attempted to listen to several "must listen" Mills live sets.
They have all ranged from absolutely unbearable to slightly less tolerable than a colonic.

no it's not. if you've only heard a fractional amount of mixes then how can you judge him? that would be like looking at a stock's performance over the last 6 days and saying it sucks when it's been up the whole year. in other words, not accurate.

Yeah, my experience is obviously the only bad one that anyone has ever had with Mills - so I see where you're coming from.

Man, I was way off.
in this thread, the amount of people who say they've heard good sets outnumber those who have said they have heard all bad ones so i would say you ARE way off.

So basically what you're saying is that because I've only seen him three times and heard a handful of sets I haven't heard anywhere near enough Jeff Mills to make an informed decision, and further that this very thread (and the number of pro-mills participants) constitutes plenty of evidence that my view on Mills is way off?
The bits of irony this place churns up are just delightful.

who said plenty of evidence? it's just further evidence. plenty of evidence would be over at discogs or really any other forum on the internet or from people who actually listen to techno. i mean your argument as of now isn't even holding up on a trance forum where people's idea of mixing is waiting for the last 1:30 of a song. LOL
