i am not ashamed to say that i buy a lot of basic clothes (tank tops, t-shirts, sweaters, skirts, jeans, etc) from Target, Kohl's, TJMaxx, Marshall's, and other "discount" stores. i would rather splurge when it comes to more permanent items that really take a beating such as shoes, purses/bags, and outerwear... because that's when you're really getting what you pay for.

i was wearing this one t-shirt i got for $10 at Kohl's out to a club one night, and a guy asks me "is that shirt from Diesel?" so i replied "nah, it was $10 at Kohl's, but it's good to know i tricked you into thinking i'm so trendy!"

I LOVE express, so anyone who suggested them, im already there.

I like BR jeans for men. they fit well.

and i cant be arsed to search ross and all those places because usually when i do go to those type places, since i have a super common size, its impossible to find what i like.

oh and mezzir: yes outlets ftw, but they dont exist in every place.

and like someone else stated earlier, there is really no reason to spend 40 - 50 dollars on a t-shirt that is of the same quality or even worse in some cases than a t shirt that can be had for less than 20 dollars.
ditto with 100 - 200 jeans that are made out of cheap denim, poorly constructed, with the next trendy brand name on the back.

now the difference between a 200 - 500 dollars suit in comparison to a suit 1500 - 2000 dollars suit is worlds apart. i know that a tailor can help on a cheap suit, but he can't do miracles. it's all in the construction. same goes with shoes.

yea, they're made for the "average" body type. if you're anorexically-thin or a waddling fat-ass you're gonna have a hard time finding clothes that fit well regardless of what brands you're trying to shop for.
