Well, I'm not aiming to get signed to discover. I'm just a big fan of the plucky trance style and a huge supporter of Recoverworld tracks. I leave for college to major in Audio Production in September and they teach you how to use Logic...right now I'm using FL Studio, but i'm aiming to switch.
I'm going to be using a lot more than just Vanguard and Nexus though.
But keep in mind that O'Callaghan uses Cubase and an avid user of Nexus...so is Bronzwaer, in fact Bronzwaer uses very little VSTs...he only uses Albino and Vanguard.
So with those two, I should get the sounds i'm looking for.
And what tracks do you have signed to Discover? |
I am curious how you are so 100% sure you know what artists use to produce music.
In any case it doesn't matter what DAW you use, but it is more of how you use what is available to you. Getting logic doesn't make you a professional nor does it mean what you produce will be any good. And the DAW doesn't determine the end results, apply the same samples and effects and export the track in every DAW you want, it will always sound the same.
There is no reason to switch to logic, why dont you first master one DAW or one set of synths, the ideas behind each are universal the only thing that is different is the means to the end.
Have fun majoring in audio production in college, i see you must have your future set in stone.

While this is true, I don't agree with your point about logic being the only way for the killer plucks you discover boys throw out.
Nexus is good for those right?
TS404 is also hella good for theses, as is synth1.
Free synths ftw!
