do anyone use anything but lame?

the ipod generation doesnt give a shit about quality, its all about how much music they can steal they they will never listen to, and how much they can cram on an ipod.

technology is actually the enemy of quality. Just buy your stuff and problem solved.

i think that only listening for the first time you can tell about "hearing" the difference, later on when you know which sample is which it is more about convincing yourself that you actually hear it

indeed should have been a longer test, with atleast 3 options available. i did pick the right one, but i didn't think there was that big of a difference. in edm i think it matters even less since there are more synthetic sounds and not much natural real instruments.

anyone remember where was that test online, where they had few "experts" testing between 128kbps - 320kbps - wav, with high quality equipment. and none of them got it completely right, some even chose the 128kbps few times.

anyone with any hearing ability can tell a difference between 128 and 320. I would never play anything below 320 on a good system, or a shite one for that matter.

Great.... but would you mind encoding from original WAVs or CDs? (ie... don't downsample an already-encoded mp3, or use an mp3 you already have)
