I did telemarketing once for trash bags.
I only lasted one day.

Back before our government started the whole "do not call" list, that only worked about half of the time. More often than not I found that they just said, "Okay, no problem," then I'd get a call from the same people the following week.
Even now with that government list, we still get calls on our home line from companies that don't quite obey the it.

Well that's illegal. The companies that continue to call after you ask them not to can be fined. At least that's how it works here.

That's illegal. If you ask to be put on their do not call list and they still call, you can report them and probably get them shut down.

Oh, I know it is. Every time I tell them that it's illegal and ask them for their information, they just go, "Oh... uhh... shi-*click*." Doing a *69 on their numbers doesn't get me any information, either.
