another glass of champagne sir?
| quote: | Tiesto in some australian mag
"The trancey crowd is more into the music, so they are very fanatical in voting. It's a way of life for them. House people just go to a club, drink their champagne and they don't really care, and the same with techno people, I guess. Those people care less about the music.
Thats why trance got so extreme, because the people who love it really love it. They go crazy, they are very passionate about it.
Trance people are also very open minded, trance is just a name, a stigma. It's got so much more to it. You see many diversions from it. You can play whatever you want nowadays and call it trance music, anything with a little bit of a melody is called trance, so that's good."

That can't be it, is it? Mind, it probably makes better sense when you have Coca-Cola products flashing across your TV screen as it plays.
Folks wouldn't be so up-in-arms over this thing if it was just him making a commercial jingle, but when it's coupled with PR-nonsensical bullshit like this:
| quote: | Tiësto had been provided with a theme and using his music as his form of expression, he created a song that expanded on his inspiration, drawn from the theme. The title of the track he created will be "Global Harmony".
The collaboration is based on the contribution of Chinese visual artist Xiao Xue who designed a new limited-edition Coca-Cola bottle. The graphic arts featured in the design, were then united with Tiësto's track, thus showing the basis of the concept: the possibilities that emerge when cultures of all parts of the world come together.
Both the artistic and cultural exchange of this first ever project resulted in a total of eight limited-edition aluminum contour bottles by the title "WE8", which refers to the collaboration between West and East around eight different themes. |
Fuck, get over yourself. It's a freakin' commercial jingle you're making!
