I'm always confused by studies like this.

The simple street test. Go outside, down to the local shopping centre, or walk around the city for a bit, I can gaurantee you 66% of the population isn't overweight. I just can't fathom where they get these numbers.

And yes I know the situation is the same in the US, I don't think that 66% of the general population isn't overweight having been there and seen it for myself.

BMI stands for "Body Mass Index" which is weight divided by height squared.

It's a bullshit number which does nothing to represent one's health, because people with very high muscle mass tend to appear obese under this system.

Conversely, at school I was "officially" anorexic under the BMI system, when in fact I was mostly lean muscle and around 3% fat, as is normal for elite athletes, but unhealthy for anyone not doing high intensity training.

BMI coupled with a fat perecentage test is a far more accurate way of measuring how much of the population is overweight.

Anyway, fuck that, I'm off to have some popcorn chicken with my long time friend, The Colonel.

I made chicken wings last night and I feel like a fat dick.
