Word.If the flaming doesn't end here, one of the admins should close this thread immediately. This thread was for songs inspired by September 11th,not for debating the issue itself!(And certainly not for flaming)

well u gota remember the americans saved most of your continent during world war 2.

Wow... either you are a a real joker or you are the perfect example of why Americans are labelled as arrogant morons.

I actually find this very funny, what exactly are you going to do to this person if they continue to express their opinions on an internet forum?

And for Mr World War 2...heres a little history lesson for your braindead, brainwashed, stereotypical self:

What you are saying is wrong my child. It is always good advise to know your history instead of going on patriotic and narrow-minded views. It is obvious that America certainly shortened the war. Their entry in 1942 meant Japan and Germany would lose sooner than otherwise. However, they did not save Britains or Europe’s ass.

The sleeping giant of the USSR was only awakening in 1942 ready to unleash and display its superior industrial power and man power over Germany. Therefore, it would have only been a matter of time before the USSR would have “Saved our Ass”. Indeed in that same year, with Hitler’s invasion of Russia with operation Barbarossa meant pressure was taken off the invasion of Britain.

Hitler would have lost even without the mighty Americans, due to several factors. Firstly due to Hitler’s own vital mistakes. Secondly due to the loss of two key battles of the war – El Alermain and Stalingrad (both depriving the Nazi war machine of its Oil) and did not require America’s aid to do so. Thirdly, and as I have already mentioned; in the long run, the Russians would have outgunned and outmanned the Germans, and would have beaten them if not by any other means, by simple attrition.

The Americans did not join the war out of kindness for their European counterparts, it was in their own interest. Besides, why should they upset their precious economy that was benefiting through the Lend Lease agreements at the expense of Britain, the Free French and Russia. Obviously Pearl harbour meant they were forced into war on the Eastern front, but why did they choose fight in Europe? The answer is simple, Churchill and Roosevelt were close friends. If it was not from Churchill’s lobbying for America to do its Allied duty then it is widely believed America would have left Germany and the rest of Europe out of the war.

If they had left Germany out of the war, as I have stated, the might of the Soviet Army would have conquered Germany and most probably the whole of Europe would go under a Communist regime. If that had happened, with both America and the USSR being nuclear powers, I am not the only one to suggest that there would have been full scale nuclear war – the type that was narrowly missed from the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The Americans would have had to be even less intelligent than I would expect to have not fought the Germans and “save” us, because otherwise, they would have had to face an even mightier Communist enemy. The type of communist enemy the Americans failed abysmally to quash during their 11 year embarrassing slaughter in Vietnam.

Once again, you are an uniformed stereotypical brainwashed yank Wan-ker…….are you George Bush?

God bless America

Bah chill out all of you. lets agree on the fact that americans are neither angels nor devils. Nor is "europe" (even though i dont like this generalizing description of the different europeans countires, each of them with their own interests and history..). I dont get that confilct between europeans and americans. Cant u europeans just accept the cultural differences, the fact that Americans for example have simply a more developed or just stronger patriotism than we do? thats just tradition and culture, why does it "threaten" you so much? Whats the problem? Looking into history books would quickly show anyone that every european country once behaved as a super power (Habsburgs in austria, napoleon's france etc. etc.). We live in a cruel world where the strongest survive, where the "winner" indeed takes it all. this time the US are on top. I find it a bit frightening that there's no balance of power like in the cold war, but thats the way it is.

oh and lets not forget that the US helped a lot in the years after WW2 in Austria and Germany, may it be economically or when it came to the process of democratisation..
em......i better stop before discussing globalisation as well
