most of my friends listen to a lot of different kinds of music. Trance included. I do have a few that have pigeon holed themselves to just EDM. It isn't common though.

I do know few guys that listen to trance, but apart from that, they're really morons ^^

I have a couple... but mostly cheese. They try and convince me they dunno what the difference between goa trance and mainstream trance is and most can't be fucked with getting into much of the stuff anyway.

It's also kind of hard to even try to get your friends to even know trance, when they automaticly think it's same as (cheesy)techno, or then to psy trance ^^

I have a great group of freinds whose tastes in music overlap but are not the same. This means we can all suggest stuff to each other and are likely to enjoy it.
Examples being I recently introduced some of my mates to J00F, Dave Clarke and Hardfloor, they introduced me to Birdy Nam Nam, Beatorrent and Flying Lotus we're all better off for it.
The best way to be IMHO, if you like EXACTLY the same music as your mates then you need better freinds.
and most can't be fucked with getting into much of the stuff anyway.
