I missed Above and Beyond last time and have regretted it ever since. I'd love an opportunity to see them.

As far as people talking shit about them, let them. People talked shit about Steve Aoki before I saw him the other night, but guess what...they missed a truly amazing set and the most fun I've had since Deadmau5. Sucks for them, huh? =P

I saw Deadmau5 in Miami, that's what I was referring to. Don't let being a smartass make you a dumbass

Screw the haters who have to vomit contempt all over a thread devoted to three of the top trance artists! There's plenty of space in Atlanta and on these forums for varied tastes, and, in Zack's defense, you'd be pissed if people spammed threads about your favorite artists with substance-free commentary such as ... "Meh, who cares, Artist X is better." If I and others posted in every house* thread, "Meh, Armin's better. Don't waste your time and money on this event," it'd get old pretty damn fast.

[* I do usually appreciate house.]

Yeah, you're totally free to say that, but it's also pretty obnoxious.

Just let us have our fanboy / fangirl hype moment in this thread (entitled "we need above and beyond back", by the way) uninterrupted by spam regarding a totally unrelated artist. Most fans drawn to this thread really don't care that you're unimpressed by Above & Beyond, so why bother posting in it? Are A&B fans in the minority on ATLTA? Who cares? EDM fans are in the minority in Atlanta, so should we be playing hip hop every night in every club?

Regardless, there's a huge audience for trance in Atlanta, as evidenced by the turnout at recent AVB and Tiesto shows. Were those shows a waste?

Okay, sorry for that off-topic. Back to something relevant to the subject:

This. This is awesome. I was upset when I heard their US tour this summer (last month?) was primarily on the West Coast. We need some Anjunabeats back in Atlanta by the end of the year! We'll guarantee a crowd triple the size this time around (potential schedule changes notwithstanding).

Awesome post!! Yeah I can't wait for A&B to come back myself! Always found it funny house tranceaddict has slowly over the years become "house"addict. See it has become just not 'hip' or 'cool' to like trance in Atlanta. But worldwide shows a totally different perspective. If you notice it is always the people who used to like trance and have come to like house more who always try to insult trance music. People who love trance rarely talk shit about house music b/c we can appreciate it as well. I love a good house set, but I love trance too. I have been watching these threads for years. It is always the same thing. Househeads always thinking they are somehow more "progressed" in their musical taste b/c it is more technical to create house music. And there is a subliminal "looking down" so to speak on people who still love trance. Silly it really is. Music is music and it is all creative. Appreciate it all for what it is...And if you don't like it, so be it. But don't sit there and deride the creativity of an artist or a person who has different taste in music. Music is one of the greatest gifts in life. There is no reason to turn it into a politics or religion disagreement type thing.

Thanks for the post man. You always seem to have the right idea. That is exactly why I got mad. There was no reason for people coming into a thread about A&B and posting how so and so is better. I may have gone overboard, but as you mentioned, it gets old fast. I really don't care that these people are uninterested in A&B it's just really annoying to always hear the same thing everyday. And when A&B come back hopefully we can prove that there is quite a large following.

I think this is a good attitude to have too. People may make fun of you for going to see whoever, but you may have the time of your life. That's what is most important.

Dj that plays so so music. Not that great of a producer.

He can pretty much mix anything into anything though.

I think he's the dude that's so fantastic he didn't even show up for one of his gigs, but I could be confusing him with someone else
