Try being tall. I have to buy extra long jeans and those are just as hard to find, and usually aren't long enough anyway.
Pfft. being short is obviously easy.
bullshit to that. I find it hard to find jeans of 29" inside leg or 30" most are 32" or 34" I mean just cos my waist isn't under 34" doesn't make me a giant :\
And sizing has gone to shit here in the last 2 years. XL used to be 48-50" and XXL 50-52" or 52-54" but now XXL is 46-48" on many brands so they go on about s tocking 'bigger sizes' but when u literally need XXL to not have skin-clenching unease it's not fun. Canadian sizes are much better, my brother sends me the hockey t-shirts in XXL and they fit a dream.

and pfft. being short is easy. you can wear heels and not be taller than 90% of the population, your legs dont get stuck in awkward angles when you're on public transpo AND people can pat you on the head. seriously. lucky.
You don't need assistance to reach things up high, you're always allowed on all of the rides at the amusement park (assuming you're not super tall), you can see better at concerts, movies etc. seriously. lucky.

right here bitch
I'm 5'11.5 and most stores don't accomodate my height, pants-wise.
I think shorter girls have it way easier... at least you have the option of hemming. 50% of the pants I try on are too short in the leg... what am I going to do? Request extra fabric and have it attached to the bottom??? lol don't think so
I inherited my dads skinny legs and I've had to have pants taken in at the leg. THAT is a pain in the ass. Speaking of ass... most pants I try on make me look like I crapped myself because the ass on them is so huge - so I end up buying most jeans with some percentage of spandex in the fabric.
Where do you get your pants hemmed anyway?
The one and only time I ever had to get them hemmed was when I bought a pair of LuluLemons with a 38inch in-seam (HOLLA!) and that cost me a whole $6.50. Most department stores employ seamstress for defective merchandise and they do it super cheap (Sears, The Bay etc.)
A lot of stores measure their pants in width AND length. Shop there.
Plus, a lot of stores are simply known for making their clothes bigger, longer, tightter fitting etc. Just relax and give yourself time to shop around.

I dunno...I've found sizing to be pretty consistent over the years and I've been wearing the same size since high school.
The thing I don't like is that not enough companies make petite sizes. And that's not really about the size, it's about the tailoring. Makes a huge difference.
That's why I love places like Aeropostale, Gap, American Eagle...cause they all make "short" pants.
