I was in tahoe 2 weekends ago - squaw and northstar. It fucking rained - i was drenched, but on the up-side, northstar has a ridiculous park.

I'm going for seconds in colorado at the end of march. Probably hitting up Cooper and Arapahoe. Also, I'm definitely trying woodward while i'm there. Two words: FOAM PIT!!

yeah tahoe's snow is thick. but depending on the resort it wasn't so bad getting out. heavenly and some portions of squaw are difficult to maneuver because of flat portions. kirkwood is pretty much downhill thankfully. alpine meadows was the worst experience ever.

Squaw is undoubtedly the best resort in tahoe. KT22 (steeps), Granite Chief (rocks), and Red Dog (trees) are all sick. It's only flat when you're crusing to the bottom from the top of the funitel.

Next time you go to cali you should try Mammoth. The main problem with Mammoth is how far it is away from civilization. It's a 5 hour drive from LA, 5 hour drive from Vegas, 6-7 hour drive from SF (even though it's closer - all of the passes are closed during the winter), and even 3 hours from Reno. Since mammoth is about 2-3K feet higher than tahoe, the snow stays around longer, and from my experience, the snow was a little drier (it's a little dryer the more south you go). I went in May a few years back and was absolutely blown away by the place (still not better than whistler - based purely on terrain).

Going back to colorado this upcoming weekend. Summit county is expecting about 20 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow, and snow showers throughout the week. I'm pretty excited the weather is forecasted to be cold, considering the long range forecast a week ago was for temps in the 40s - 50s this entire upcoming week. It looks like I may get a little powder at the end of March.
