...unfortunately, that's the majority.

Let's play devil's advocate.
Think like an avg clubber for a sec
So when you go out, what do you care more? The track selection and programming, or what media the 'DJ' is using to play the tunes?

Do u have to wait a certain moment in the song to mix or can u do it anytime?
etc...
Any suggestions?
thx
My advice: sell your decks.
You've practised for a week and are already complaining that you're shit? DUH. I mean, you're even refusing to do a little bit of research and reading on what you're attempting to do. If I had to take a guess based on your thread, I'd say you don't have the dedication nor the passion for this. I bet you've seen a professional DJ a couple of times and thought, "hey this looks so easy!", right?
Give it up. The world doesn't need another shit DJ.

If that's the case... why have a DJ in the first place... pop in pre-mixed CDs and have an ample-bosom cheerleeder to rowd the crowd.

Hmmm...didn't like Yohan's link? Try this one:LINK
And seriously, it's been a week. How skilled do you expect to be if you pick up a guitar for a week?
I dub thee: DJ Emo
Now do as the link says.

We need DJs so we can stare at someone and praise them like a God. Personally, I'd be happy with a jukebox and a monkey with a bag full of quarters.

the monkey part doesnt usually work out cos when the crowd dislikes his track selection, he throws his shit all around....not pleasant
