As Project K already said, people who ask you who you voted for aren't asking just for sake of casual conversation. They either want to engage in a political discussion where you both pour one another's ideas out so neither of you can actually listen to one another -or- they want to judge whether or not you are on 'their side'.
It's not the same reserved kind of secret dynamic like when you, nchs09, use the far urinal in the corner of the public restroom to minimize that chance of another guy getting a glimpse of your throbbing, uncircumcized peggo.
No, it has more to do with the fact that a staggering majority of people, especially those inclined to discuss politics with strangers in the first place, treat their given governmental choices as some sort of sports game where you are on one team and YOU MUST FUCKING CRUSH THE OTHER SIDE BECAUSE THEY REPRESENT IDEALS QUITE COUNTER TO YOUR OWN RURRHHHHH GO TEAM!!!!
