This is correct. I was wondering why there was no easy to find, definitive go-to resource for poetry (like a Strunk & White or universally acclaimed "Poet's reference")
Even as a complete novice, I'm able to see that there are a lot of fucking assholes out there who have no idea what they're talking but still give advice and write books anyway.
Is there no trustworthy beginner's book? Some kind of classic? Or does everyone have to find their own way? I don't really mind doing that, but at the same time, I really wouldn't mind a shortcut...
