What a sweet day for soccer. After seeing Sweden defeat Nigeria 1-0 on probably one of the most entertaining matches of WC 2002, I went on to see the next game and saw Paraguay take a 1-0 lead over Spain at halftime.

The time was abot 3:15 am and wouldn't you belive it, I fucking slept through the second half and missed most anticipated match of the first round, England vs. Argentina. This damn Korea/Japan time gap is killing me. I even called in sick 3 times already. It's damn well not worth getting fired over. Oh well, I guess I'll see the replay; if there is one.

The whole team played their part, but I thought Rio Ferdinand stood out, so many vital good clearances, if it hadn't been for his heading, I'm sure they would have scored at least 1 from crosses/corners, thought Nicky Butt was excellent aswell, his defensive/close him down defensive midfield style was exactly what we lacked against Sweden. I hope Hargreaves is OK
