People change when they find out you're getting married, I suppose.

I'd chalk it off to the sexual tension which gravitates people together in the first place. Not to imply that you are indeed sexing up your female friends, but even friendly relationships between coeds are very much based in the prospect of sexuality - it's just how we're wired. Both sexes do it, and it's not as though you immediately intend to lay any female friend you make, it's more about lining up prospects; emergency surplus, if you will.

Your friend sees her prospect in you being divorced due to your engagement - you are no longer a potential supply to her due to the stigmas our society imparts upon marriage and monogamy. I would say it's just her way of reacting to it - childish, sure, but the latency of our emotions is a direct result of the very animalistic complexes we take for granted.

Well, you know what they say...

To sodomize the beast, you must first understand the beast.

Guys, I want to give her shit for this, not anal! That's like giving kids resee's instead of throat punches for bad behaviour!

You know, the reason why I think our relationship is working out is because I haven't felt any need (thus far) to schoop anyone's woop and then charge my laser. Quite on the contrary, I'm happy that I don't need to bother about any girls here whatsoever, and that all I need is to wait for a while to get my girl back.

It's as if everyone else turned into a bloody care bear

That's exactly what I thought... but I couldn't imagine that dating someone and being engaged to someone would've made that much of a difference.

Besides, I'd want some personal space if I ever break up with my fiancée... and I certainly wouldn't want to date another girl that reminded me of her anytime soon. It would probably make the whole situation plain weird to everyone involved.
