i quit e 2 1/2 years ago because i hated it and how it made me feel. but even though i said i would never do it again, i have done it 3 times since then. the first time i quit, i was unnaturally depressed for a year after i stopped.

slylee's experience sounds so much like my most recent time. i took it at PVD (my 1st time seeing him) and it ruined my night because i knew the ecstatic feelings i was having for his music were not real. it is so much more meaningful when you get those feelings haven taken no drugs. i was so depressed at how bad i was to my body that i quit smoking cigarettes, pot, and drinking the day after that.

i'd like to say i quit forever but forever is a long time and sooner or later i will forget all the reasons i hate e and do it again only to be reminded of those reasons again.

This kind of sounds like "ILL NEVER DRINK AGAIN!!" and its said with such passion at the time, but then as soon as you arent hung over...glug glug glug. Well, thats how it worked for me. I got alcohol poisoning and said i would NEVER drink hard A again. Now I have 101 proof permafrost every night. I dont think there is a point to this story, or a good moral, but ill make one up for you.

So the moral is, if you are going to drink till the point of alcohol poisoning, pick an alchol you HATE, then who gives a shit if you cant drink it for a year, because you hate it anyways, save the good stuff for savorin!

Whoever said that the only bad thing weed does is by smoking it, that is ignorant. I'll just forget I read that.

Anyways, if you take prozac after you roll (theoretically) it won't damage your brain anyways. Do your research...

BUT ... In January I rolled for about the 10th time in a year (yeah it's not a huge amount, but ...) and I was starting to get bored with it - the effects weren't as intense or as long and I didn't want to start taking like 4 pills so I quit until I find a reasonable event to do it (trust me, rolling with 3 friends after bar time just because you're bored isn't the greatest idea in the world.)

And for people who criticize people who have tried ecstasy, that's pure ignorance and stupidity. You will never know what it is like until you try it, and stop trying to make yourself like a morally sound trance lover who is only in it for the music just to make yourself look better / feel cool.

I see this too often in many different forms.
I see people of one type of music genre go and belittle people who like other sorts of music.
Similar case this.
People who don't take drugs always rag on those who do, and I can't figure out why.

Anyways, as for ecstacy killing brain cells... yeah it does, and so does just about anything in life. I'm afraid one game of american football will kill more braincells than 6 monthes of moderate pill usage would.

Luckily, we have quite a few brain cells.

It just gets me that there's all this taboo around drugs.
Not all people who use drugs are terrible wankers who would steal from their own mother to support their habits.
We are DECENT people.
And those that think that we arent, have just been poisoned by the governments plans to make drugs seem like this terrible evil.
They always expose the public to the worse case scenarios.

Just remember, in the beggining of the last century, alcohol had as bad a rep as drugs of today, so I look forward to being able to buy a trip and 2 pills from the 7-eleven in about 30 years time

Ok. you took E you felt bad about it -> bad experience
E is a psychological drug and the feeling you get from it is pretty much based on how your mind is set at the time your rolling.
To make the experience better it's very important that you look forward to the experience and have positive thinkings... I'm telling you negative thinking is the thing that makes you feel bad while rolling, I guess that you did have some negative thingings towards the drug while rolling, am I right?

I only need to say two words to the guy that said smoking weed wouldn't do any harm to your brain. "MEMORY LOSS"

And one more thing for guys and girls who take E's and want to do it safe and REDUCE the negative effects then it might really help to read this

No, im not taking that as an attack at all. Actually i wish i was still like you being able to have a good long lasting positive trip on an amazing drug. I just cant take the intesity the same way anymore for some reason, and the migraines blow. I respect anyone who uses E in moderation, those who do multiple doses on a weekly basis better think about the concequences!!! Good thread here, keep the stories and comments comin.
