yeah, but the interesting thing is that kids aren't the only ones that listen to him...

my mom really likes eminem, probably more than i do. my voice teacher likes eminem too. and eminem didn't win that academy award from kids impressed by his bad language.

If you like rap at all then I dont see how you cant like Eminem. In terms of the mainstream rap artists, eminem's lyrics and rhythm absolutely dominate talentless hacks like jarule. The Eminem Show is an excellent album, songs like when the music stops, till i collapse, square dance, and my dads gone crazy make it worth listening to over and over.
I'm the first to admit I dont follow the underground rap scene or know much about old school rap, but in terms of the current popular rap eminem is a nice change.

I love hip hop but Eminem is shocking. He is to hip hop what Kelly Llorena is to trance.

after reading through this thread I put on 'cleaning out my closet' to give it a listen, man the lyrics are so full of meaning, unlike many other rap songs, eminem must've had a really bad childhood, I feel sorry for him but maybe that's what helped him succeed

Wow... they are awesome. He is very talented, I liked The Slim Shady LP, now he's crap. My favorite track of his is "Any Man" from the Rawkus' comp "Soundbombing 2", mixed by The World Famous Beat Junkies, who are awesome.
