I've been de-activated twice for no apparent reason and without warning. I sent them an e-mail asking what I had done and what I could do about it? I received a generic response that didn't really answer the question both times. My account was back up a few days later though......

It is scary though, I use FB in a huge way for promo. I know they have certian metrics in place that will trigger the de-activation and someone will review it later to see if it's justified or not.

I've even added a couple friends to my groups as admin, so if I ever lose my account the group won't get deleted.

DAMN..... i didn't know facebook was being so anal! I always send ppl links to mixes and tracks on there. Now i'm thinking i should stop! I would def. be one of those zombies wandering around not knowing what to do with myself if my facebook account was de-activated thanks for the heads up!!!!

Stick to the rules, and you shouldn't ever have a problem.

I have a group and a fan page, and I've never had any problems (or even a warning). Though I only send out message through my group, and don't blatantly spam on peoples walls like some people I know.

Do you think it was because of your email, or they just did it on their own accord? I initially sent out an email to [email protected], and an automated email was send back stating that the would get back shortly. That was 3 days ago. True they are a large organization and so much email must come their way, but it is getting harder to remain patient. Then again what choice is there. I'll see by the end of the weekend, but I'm not keeping my hopes up too high.

+1 to this, which was a surprise when the msg came up for me. I think the reason I was warned was because I sent out the same msg, with the same title and content to two different sources containing quite a few people.

Well, they did respond to my e-mail for sure. I think it was within 3 days, and my account was back up within 3 days too. Although the issues was adding friends to quickly or something rather minor, but again there was no warning that I was doing something wrong. Myabe thats why my account was back up?

This was also more than a year ago, and things have gotten bigger there, so maybe it will take more time? You would hope they would at least respond to you...

Okay so its not only me. I uploaded some pics recently and Mozilla crashed 5 times before I started using IE.
