Got the demo off Live today for the 360. The game looks incredible, probably the best looking game I've ever seen on the 360. A few things though. I just don't understand why you cannot customize your controls and assign any action or button to any button on your control pad. Instead you are forced to use 4 different layouts. One of the layouts is based on RE4 but several of the keys are not the same and I kept finding myself pressing the wrong buttons. I'm sure I'll get used to it but it would be nice to be able to assign whatever you like. Also I'm not sure about the camera. I guess I'm just still in RE4 mode and I'm sure I'll eventually get used to it.

Has anyone else played it? What are your thoughts?

I spoke too soon. I found that control Type C fixed everything for me. Not only does it fix the camera from snapping back forward when you try and look around which I hated, but it also retains many of the RE4 controls. Now I'm really excited for the game to come out.

will they release it on the PC as well or like RE4 they'll do it later?

I enjoyed Re4 but them not being zombies anymore sucked ass, even if it was a completely cloudy day I just didn't enjoy it as much as I did with Re3

well RE4 wsa supposed to be an exclusive aswell but came out a few year later on pc id imagine same would happen again.

Played through both levels of the demo yesterday. The graphics look amazing in HD. The game feels a little more difficult than RE4, but I think it will just take some getting used to. I'm not sure how I feel about the partner system in single player, but I think co-op will be badass. Can't wait for the full game.

I think Resident Evil 4 marked the nail in the coffin of this idea of "Survival Horror." Resident Evil 5 feels like Suspenseful Survival. I don't think we'll see a game of the likes of Silent Hill 2 for a while, or ever.

As for RE5, it's not scary, daytime combat FTL and the same virus as RE4? And I hated RE4. Total piece of monkey crap. 5 is def better than 4. That is all. Happy hunting.

Last good RE was Nemisis imo.
