I disagree, nefardec, I've seen lots of people change, both for the better and for the worse. And, most of the time, thanks (or due) to love relationships.

No, no, they're actually quite orthodox in that sense. Or so it seems

IMO, round 2 will not work. People split up for many reasons, and if they try it again, they tend to revert to their old ways and the same problems occur. Move on.

in my experience, no.
i think it can work, depending on the situation. for example... if you dated someone for a bit but then one of you moved and had to end the relationship due to those circumstances. it's not like the relationship failed, and there's always a chance that you could keep in touch and end up together if you ever lived in the same city/state again.
but in cases where the relationship ends due to cheating, dishonesty, simple incompatibility, poor communication, etc... there's a point where you just have to give up, learn from your mistakes, and move on.

More so if end of round 1 was mutual.
do you believe that a breakup can be mutual though?

Well, I was one of the parties involved
Can't I see something that has happened to me?!
edit: Our relationship didn't really last that long, in case you're wondering. But we both came to the conclusion that it just wasn't going to work out one day. Agreed we should stop seeing each other for a while...
... and it's been 9 years already
